In early January 2023, the CIPC will implement enhanced E-services and BizPortal platforms as part of its innovation\/modernisation journey. The modernisation strategy entails migration of the CIPC systems into new modern platforms, as well as automation of all processes. Migration of the system into the new platforms provides a foundation for full and ease of automation of the CIPC company and close corporation services.<\/p>\n
The CIPC innovation journey is aimed at the development and expansion of multiple channels to increase access to CIPC products and services and improve the ease of transacting. With the ultimate aim of providing the ease of doing business, the newly improved systems offer a better user experience and quicker turnaround times.<\/p>\n
The key enhancements to the E-services and Bizportal paperless registration platforms include the automation and simplification of foreign director assurance and integrated services which are aimed at the significant reduction of red tape. Multiple company registration and maintenance functions will be combined ensuring improved efficiencies whilst adhering to legislative requirements. Users of CIPC e-services can look forward to an updated automated director change process as well as the ability to file annual returns whilst concluding additional transactions in a single step. The revamped Bizportal and e-services platforms will allow for security-authenticated bank cards to conclude transactions. This should improve turn-around times and add to further customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n
