Automation of Business Rescue Proceedings, Business Rescue Practitioner Licensing and Business Rescue Practitioner Appointments

The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) is committed to customer service and the effective and efficient facilitation of the submitting and filing of applications. As from 31 May 2021, CIPC will be launching the automation of Business Rescue Proceedings (form CoR123.1 and court order commencing Business Rescue Proceedings), Business Rescue Practitioner Licensing (form CoR126.1), and Business Rescue Practitioner Appointments (form CoR123.2 and court order appointment of Business Rescue Practitioner) Automation of Business Rescue Proceedings, Business Rescue Practitioner Licensing and Business Rescue Practitioner Appointments

Amended Notice In Respect Of Issuing Patent Certificates

CIPC issued and published a Notice regarding issuing of patent certificate that has DNA Sequence Listing in the Patent Journal of November 2015. However, the current Schedule 5 certificate as previously published does not cover all relevant sequence listings. This is a Notice to amend Schedule 5 to include amino acids and nucleotide acids sequence listings.

Requirement to voluntarily disclose solvency and liquidity test performed in the annual financial statements

The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (“CIPC”) reviews annual financial statements with the objective of monitoring compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Companies Act, 2008 (“Act”). CIPC is further empowered to promote the reliability of financial statements by among other things, to monitor patterns of compliance with and contravention of financial reporting standards.

Discontinuation of primary co-operatives manual submission

Effective from the 1 st April 2021, CIPC will no longer be accepting manually completed primary Co-operative registrations submitted through email (Cooperativesonline@cipc.co.za) or post. Primary Co-operative registration applications completed and submitted via these channels will on or after this date be automatically rejected without further communication to the customer. New E-Service: New Company Registration (Short Standard Profit (Cor15.1a) And Non Profit Company Without Members (Cor15.1c)

The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) is committed to customer service and innovation. As part of this, CIPC launches the Automated New Company Registration E-Service platform. The automated service will form part of the current e-services transactional website of CIPC and will allow customers to process company registration directly with same day approval without attaching supporting documents.
